Pre-launch draft — this document will be finalized before the paid plans and accounts ship.

Again Replay is built around a simple split: the app keeps your video on your local network and collects no personal data, and a separate, optional account system handles licensing and billing for paid plans. The only thing the app itself sends off your device is optional, opt-out crash and performance diagnostics — never your video. This policy explains each.

The app collects no personal data

The Again Replay app streams video peer-to-peer over your local network using automatic device discovery (mDNS). It has no ads, no advertising identifiers, and no marketing or usage-tracking analytics. The one thing it can send off your device is optional, opt-out crash and performance diagnostics, covered in Crash & performance reporting below.

  • No video ever leaves your network. Streams flow directly between your devices — never through us or any cloud.
  • No personal information is required to send or watch a replay.
  • No advertising identifiers and no marketing analytics. The app's only outbound diagnostics are the opt-out crash and performance reports described below — and they never include your video.

Crash & performance reporting

To find and fix bugs, the app uses Sentry to send crash reports, performance traces, and profiling data. This is the only diagnostic information the app sends off your device, and it is separate from the account system below.

  • On by default, and yours to turn off. You can disable it at any time in the app under Settings → Share Crash Reports.
  • No video, ever. No video and no stream content is included — only crash and diagnostic metadata such as errors, timings, and your device and app version.
  • No IP addresses. We turn off Sentry's default personal-data collection, so your IP address is not attached to reports.
  • Stream URLs and credentials are masked before any report leaves your device.

The account system (paid plans)

Personal and Business plans require an account so we can enforce device licensing. This account system is the only part of Again Replay that stores personal data, and it holds the minimum needed to run billing and activation:

  • Email address — to identify your account and send essential service messages.
  • Billing details — processed by our payment providers (RevenueCat, and Stripe for Business). We do not store your full card details on our servers.
  • Device fingerprints — a non-reversible identifier per activated device, so a seat can be tied to a device.
  • Heartbeat / last-seen timestamps — to show which devices are active and to enforce how many run at once.

We never receive the contents of your streams. The account system knows only which devices are licensed and active — never what they are showing.

Payment processors

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and entitlements, with the App Store, Google Play, and Stripe (for Business plans) handling payments. Their handling of your payment information is governed by their own privacy policies.

Data retention & your rights

Account data is retained while your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your email, device fingerprints and liveness records; billing records may be retained where required by law.
